Festival of the Pacific Arts and Culture 2024

From June 6th-16th 2024, the Fiery Canoe Foundation was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend the 13th Festival of the Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) hosted in Honolulu Hawaiʻi. From the opening ceremony, to exploring the festival village, attending different conferences and summits, to the Micronesian Festival at the Bishop Museum and ending with the closing ceremony, this festival sparked deep reconnection with our Banaban culture and family. Whether it was meaningful conversations about climate justice and future action, or simply sharing our stories and ancestry with others, this gathering of over 20 Pacific Nations was an invaluable learning space.
